An Anatomy Lesson

Kitbuilders magazine issue #47 just came out and inside you will find an article / anatomy lesson by Jason Spyda Adams The article is 3 pages with lots of pictures showing from skeleton to finish.

Artists are missing out on some very important information by learning to draw from books like How to Draw Comics, How to Draw Anime, How to Draw the Marvel Way, etc. Basic anatomy to complex, if you're going to draw, paint, or sculpt the human figure, don't you think you should learn proper anatomy? Even Bridgeman lacks accuracy. Sculptor Jason Spyda Adams does an anatomy study of the muscles of the human back.
Did you know the arm bone does not connect to the shoulder bone? Nope, the upper arm connects to the shoulder blade (scapula). What's more, your upper arm muscles (Biceps, triceps, etc.) and most of the muscles of the back attach to the scapula. The scapula, possibly the most complex bone for the artist to understand and most frequently done incorrectly.
Super detailed photos of layers of muscle from skeleton to full muscle anatomy. Understand your art. You wont learn this from Bridgeman.
