They're due out in June - July and we've ordered a bunch which will be signed by Neal Adams and sculptor Jason Spyda Adams. We'll have 50 of them which will be signed and numbered on the base by both artists. The statues will come with a certificate from DC Direct with their own number of the castings on it. The Classic Neal Adams Batman Pose

This is the very first Neal Adams statue of a DC character. The project began while Jason Spyda Adams was visiting DC Direct discussing what sort of sulpture they'd like to do. He'd made some samples of their characters to show off and it was obvious that doing a Neal Adams piece would be a great jumping point.
Next was to pick a pose. At first, a standing pose was considered, but when Neal was going over ideas and considering his participation in the history of comics, it became obvious that they needed to do a classic Neal Adams action pose. One in particular always stood out. it wouldn't be easy to occomplish, but it was the best choice. The pose was from a famous Joker story Neal drew years ago. The image was used many times over the years and is still considered by fans to be the most exciting and dynamic image of Batman ever done.

From these images, Neal did the following sketches for his son Spyda to begin sculpting from.

Sketches needed to be altered to make the manufacturing possible and soon the sculpture was going along smoothly.
